About Austin Energy Power Partner℠ EV program

Austin Energy is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient, and affordable. This program offers incentives to residential customers who let Austin Energy make minor adjustments to their Level 2 EV smart chargers during periods of extreme weather and high energy use in the community.

With Austin Energy’s Power Partner℠ EV program, you’ll receive a $50 bill credit for enrolling your qualifying Level 2 smart charger and allowing Austin Energy to make remote adjustments to your charger’s energy use (by either slowing or delaying it) during periods of high energy demand. You’ll still have time to charge each day (in addition to having the ability to override remote control), and you’ll help Austin Energy manage high energy use throughout the day.
